Problem checking database

Hello,

I've got a problem lately with my main library. From time to time, when I try to check the database, I've got a message like this:

The main problem is that, from time to time, I lose the metadata changes in the library, I guess due to some problem like this. Which can be the issue? We're talking about 17000 books, with composite columns.

Does running calibre 9.1 fix the problem?

I don't get why people are running 8.16.x versions other than 8.16.2, which got several fixes after 8.16.0 and 8.16.1.

Does installing 8.16.2 fix it?

definitely looks like an issue in your db. That error is from sqlite and doesnt make much sense. Try restore database to rebuild the db.

The issue is: If I wait some time, it doesn't happen, so it looks like it takes a lot of time to update the db.

Because none of the fixes affects me so much to update calibre?

After switching from another library to the main one, or after modifying some metadata.

So you are saying that the error occurs only if you run check library soon after modifying some metadata?

Or adding some book, yes. Sorry I explain myself wrong.

Hmm, hard to say. If you send me the metadata.db file from your library I can try and investigate.

What happens if you tell the AV you run to ignore the library directories?
