Double-click (middle mouse button) no longer works with v9.1.0

Since the update to Calibre 9.1.0, the middle mouse button (mouse wheel) no longer has any function.
This also affects the editor, which is particularly annoying. Unfortunately, Calibre is no longer usable for me.
I have reinstalled Calibre 8.16.2 and everything is fine.

The middle mouse button (mouse wheel) is configured system-wide as a double-click-left and has otherwise worked perfectly in all other software for years. The double-click also works in the Calibre dialog windows (save file, open etc.).
Any suggestions?

My system: Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2

This is a Qt change, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2139424 for a similar issue with someone that was using custom drivers to remap the wheel scroll. You will have to wait for it to be fixed in Qt stay with calibre 8 till then.

O.K. it is a Qt problem.
However, I use the Microsoft standard mouse driver for the "Logitech MX-Ergo-S" trackball in conjunction with "X Mouse Button Control".
Not an exotic driver ;-). No Logitech bloatware is installed.

It is an embarrassment for Qt that standard input devices no longer work.

I would like to praise you for your fantastic work.
I have been using Calibre for over 10 years and am very satisfied!
