"No reader engine for this file or invalid file" on Libra 2
I've been recently getting the "No reader engine for this file or invalid file" message with a couple of books. Resetting the file seems to help (which deletes notes, bookmarks, etc), as does restoring the previous lua file backup in the sdr folder in USB mode.
From what I've noticed, it seems to happen when the Libra does several page orientation changes (i.e. I pick it up, then turn it around a few times to get the text right way up for the way I'm holding the device) and then go immediately back to gallery. Anyway, might be an elusive bug... and as restoring the backup lua file seems to help, is there an easier way of doing it than starting USB mode? Is there some function to restore it from the menus, or can I access the files directly from the GUI? |

You can remove/reset SDR by long pressing on the file. Does the problem also persist if you simply restart KOReader without resetting anything?

It persists through reboot - I've tried booting back to Kobo firmware, then back to KOReader, and also just restarting KOReader, so I'm guessing the SDR somehow gets corrupted. I'm trying to avoid resetting since it wipes bookmarks, notes, etc. - restoring the previous metadata from the backup keeps at least some of those, but it seems I need to start USB session to do that.

Have you checked those books that give the error to see if there is actually error(s) with the books?

It happens with books that I've been already reading, they just suddenly stop opening. I tend to check them with epubcheck in calibre before moving them to my Libra, so they are all files that pass epubcheck, and they open in other readers which ignore the SDR folders.
