Looking for a reader with good support for KOReader

for over a decade, I've bought Kobo devices and I still think they're excellent. but in recent years I've been using only KOReader, so I don't think waiting for Kobo makes sense anymore, with their infuriating lack of communication about new devices.

* I'd prefer something around 8-10", and it should be ergonomic.
* it needs to support KOReader. that's really the only software I trust to optimize for usability. to my understanding, any Android device should have feature parity on KOReader with Kobo devices?
* physical buttons would be nice to have, so would "comfortlight"-style features.
* a stylus is not a feature I want unless the device is good as a reader and I can just not use it.
* Gallery 3 would be cool, I don't know if that's asking too much. black-and-white would work as well and I can buy a color device in a few years

Device: Kindle, Kobo, PocketBook, Tolino, Onyx Boox, Bigme, Viwoods.
The "general" operation of KOReader is the same on any platform you use. I use KOReader on my Android devices (Onyx Boox, Bigme, Tolino, Viwoods), PocketBook, and Kobo, and the performance is basically the same. The best optimisation for "all" KOReader features is currently found on Kobo devices. On other devices, you may find some options that do not work or have limited functionality, but I would classify these as "minor" and not affecting the overall usability of KOReader. Ultimately, choosing one device over another is a matter of personal preference, beyond the best optimisation. Personally, I prefer to use KOReader on Android or PocketBook devices rather than Kobo because they are more suited to the way I use e-readers (in the case of Android because I have access to reading-related applications, such as organisers and file explorers, dictionaries, translators, web browsers, etc.) and in the case of PocketBook because I can use its general system (file transfer, home page, library, etc.). I find all of this more convenient, but others may not care either way. If you've been using Kobo e-readers, you'll probably notice things you're used to, and perhaps your best option is another new Kobo device, but I use KOReader interchangeably on all my compatible devices of any brand and am satisfied with its performance on all of them.
