A friend will bring me one to do that on.
Don't know whether it will be set up or not.

Do you mean the sideloaded mode (i.e. without registering)? Because you can sideload to a registered Kobo just as well.

I just know they are bringing it for me to put some books on.

There's nothing to enable in that case. Just connect it to your computer via USB and copy the books over. Or send them over from calibre.

I did that on my Libra 2.
That's if you want to use your Kobo without registering. Not needed for just sideloading books to your Kobo.

I suggest registering. I've had an account ever since February 2014 and I've never one had a single problem.
