Title Sort and Library sort reverts

Hi i have been using calibre for a few years. I like to have my library in strictly_alphabetic order and use copy method for author sort. I tweak this but everytime after resetting it reverts to default of 'library order' and 'comma' instead of opy sort method. I exit by clicking apply changes but is not working. Pls help TIA

There are two apply buttons one for the individual tweak and one overall
