Library for "Newly added..." section
This is probably a stupid question, but how does calibre choose which library to display in "Newly added..." section of the homepage? I currently have 5 libraries:
Books Comics Linux Magazines Magazines Standard Ebooks The library calibre ALWAYS displays in the "newly added..." section is books from Standard Ebooks, even though I more recently added books to my "Books" library. Just wondering if there's a way to change the library, or if "Standard Ebooks" is the default for my server. |

Calibre only looks at the CURRENT Library.
Do you really need 5 Libraries? Do they all have a different structure or settings? You have 2 Magazine type. Could that be 1 and you have a VL's set for Linux and (Not Linux) others Same for Books and Standard Books. What makes those Libraries (structurally) Different? Different behaviors (Plugin settings, columns and (age)SECURITY ) are reasons FOR separate Libraries. |

I'm not sure what you mean by CURRENT library. It doesn't matter which library I currently have selected in calibre. I've added quite a few books today to my "Books" library, and the server homepage "Recently added..." section STILL only shows recently added books in my Standard Ebooks library. That doesn't change, even if I change to a different library, restart the content server and reload the server homepage in my browser. Last edited by PiperKev; 01-04-2026 at 03:08 PM. |

You have no other Library selected. (it appears to be looking at the Library 'Calibre' (Recent is probably from the servers last used History)
Using a 'User Account' limits what each login can use. And here is my Windows shortcut (I have no idea where I came up with that setting. It was a long time ago )Code:
192.168.254.30:8083/#library_id=MainLib&panel=book_list Panel seems to be the view wanted |
