Substack Reader plugin for KOReader
Hello,
I also made a plugin for browsing substack. You need to grab your own cookie from a logged in substack session. I don't scrape your data, the code is available for you to see. https://codeberg.org/anserina/substack.koplugin Have a try, comment here if you have any questions. |

Thanks for the plugin. Some nitpicks, while skimming through several articles, I'd rather the plugin did not clutter the history with <post_id>.html files. Also, returning to the file browser puts me in the ../koreader/settings/substack_posts directory which is a bit hassle to navigate back to the my home folder. Caching posts and images to a sqlite db and displaying them in a fullscreen window (just like the wikipedia plugin) could be an option.

OK, version 1.0.2 has been updated to have a HTML viewer window and SQLite caching so your filesystem isn't polluted (plus a few more features): https://codeberg.org/anserina/substack.koplugin

Thanks for this tool! I've been using it, it's great.
This doesn't hinder my use, but it does crash for me when I set the list maximum to 100 (or 99). 50 works, and haven't tried any intermediate numbers. I've got a Clara BW. |

The issue for me on this crash was that ffi/util should be used rather than ffi/unistd for the sleep call. This revealed that the real issue is that requesting a quantity greater than 50 fails to fetch, perhaps for Substack reasons.

Thank you very much!
Always wanted to have Substack on my e-reader, but didn't have the skill set to create something like this. So I am glad you have done this.
(I actually made this account simply, to say thank you for this )

As substack is rather problematic as a platform, could you implement something like the Kill Yr Substack plugin, where it stores everything in archive.is instead of using substack directly?
