Calibre shortcuts not working anymore

I use Calibre on Tumbleweed Linux, and for the last few moths the "direct" (without a modifier key) shortcuts have stopped working. In the past I could open the book with V and its directory with O, edit book with T and so on. Now instead it looks for a book whose title starts with that letter.
I have checked that those keys are still defined in the Shortcuts configuration.
Note that when there are modifiers, they work, e.g.: Alt V.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you recently switch to Wayland? If so try running under X11.

Yes, that was it, Thanks a lot!
I started using Wayland at home because I had trouble with OBS and it worked better on Wayland, but I don't need it anymore. So back to X11, and already found that a couple of problems I had on KDE have disappeared too...
