I have been using this edition of ADE for years without a problem, but the last time I tried, although the books were successfully downloaded into the ADE Library, they were not copied into the My Digital Editions folder on my (Windows) computer as usual, and Calibre could not find them there. Any idea what's wrong?

Apologies. Everything is ok after all. The problem was that I was logged into a VPN. I exited that and now it works.

Given that you use calibre, there is an easier way to deal with your ePub eBooks. Install the ACSM Input plugin. It can pull the info it needs from your ADE install.

With this plugin, you can feed calibre the ACSM file and it will download direct to calibre and also delete the ACSM file when successfully done.

And if you have the DeDRM plugin install and working, you get your ePub DRM free.

Ooooo! Today I learnt!

Thanks for posting that info. Always nice to eliminate a step in my book ingestion process.
