Resource issues on a Mac mini M4
A friend is using this Mac with 24GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 16-core processor. Occasionally, when using Calibre, it consumes all the system's resources and he has to restart. Any suggestions? This happens when he's searching for duplicates.

It searches for duplicates using the Soundex option of the Find Duplicate plugin. The length limit is 10 characters for titles and 5 characters for authors.

I've tried this with Windows 11 and it does not have this problem. It actually runs very quickly with calibre 8.16.2. What version of calibre is your friend running? Could it be a bug in Rosetta since this is not native M4 code?
