Format template error
I’m afraid I don’t know what has happened to cause this (possibly falling asleep on my keyboard while Calibre was in focus!), but I now see a template error in every Formats field in my library, as per the attached screenshot.
I’ve never consciously interacted with templates, so am a bit stuck with how to revert to the previous behaviour, with formats correctly displayed. I’ve taken a look at the manual, and have concluded that my stumbling around editing templates without guidance is likely to worsen the situation, so am hoping someone will be kind enough to point me in the right direction. It seems to me, never having set up a new template, that I have somehow altered the default template, so am reluctant to set up an entirely new library and re-import my books, as presumably the template will persist. Appreciate any help! |

You dont need a template if all you want to do is display formats in a column. There is a builtin column for that. I suggest you go to preferences->add your own colunms and delete your tempate based column. Then add the builtin one and restart calibre.
