I Can't Factory Reset My Locked Kindle Touch

Hello. I have a Kindle Touch. I bought it secondhand with a password. No matter what method I tried, I couldn't reset it.

1) I tried entering 111222777 in the password field, but it didn't work. It asked for a password again when it booted.

2) I held down the power button for 40 seconds, and it restarted, and then asked for a password again when it booted.

When I connect it to my computer, it shows up as "Kindle Internal Storage" in Device Manager. When I enable the "Show hidden folders" option on my computer, I get an error saying I can't access the drive.

Can you please help me with this? I have Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems.

I tried the password 111222777 many times, but each time it restarted, the passcode screen opened.

Did you ask the seller what the password is?

The seller said he was selling it cheap because it had a password. I bought it thinking I could unlock it with the password 111222777. Unfortunately, I kept it.

Is there no way I can put this device in bootloader mode or something? So, can't I just connect it like an Android device and flash it using commands from a computer?

If it shows up as a drive on a computer connected by USB, you can try this:

If not, you might be able to find the pads for the serial port somewhere in the (very long) thread the above post is from or some other thread.

Dear friend, thank you so much for your answer. I've been struggling since yesterday. I can't start the fastboot process because I can't access the device.

I read the article in the link. I couldn't follow the first step because I couldn't access the device. The second step really confused me. I couldn't figure out how to use the zip file I downloaded from GitHub.

Throwing away the device is the easy way out. I have two other Kindles at home. There must be a solution, I'm stubbornly stuck. If you could help me more clearly, I would be very grateful. Thank you very much.

The password you entered will reset the device no matter what. If it resets, reboots and asks for a password again, I'm afraid your eMMC is dead / read only...
