Getting Errors during install

I'm new here and not sure if this is the right place to post. If there's a better place, just advise me.

I've tried to get this installed and working for several hours.

I've tried downloading the .msi file again; uninstalling the software, rebooting, and installing again; uninstalling, deleting the "My Digital Editions" folder and contents, rebooting, and install again.

No matter what, I get an error. I've tried using Calibre after the error, but it errors out whenever I try to do something.

Below is the error report

calibre, version 8.14.0
ERROR: Startup error: There was an error during calibre startup. Parts of calibre may not function. Click "Show details" to learn more.

File "C:\t\t\apsw-nmn6uadm\src\cursor.c", line 189, in resetcursor
apsw.CorruptError: database disk image is malformed

During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:

apsw.CorruptError: database disk image is malformed

Is there a utility to rebuild the database?

My Digital Editions?? That is not ANY part of Calibre. (hint: Amazon)

A corrupt Database makes me think you are doing an Update Install and something was copied onto the existing 'Calibre Library' (the default name) and scrambled the eggs.
NEVER Add, Change or Delete anything in a Library folder except via Calibre.
