If you find that your machine's WiFi is not working after updating the firmware (you can turn on WiFi but cannot scan any WiFi networks), you can try the following steps:
(The principle is that the WiFi driver in the new firmware is not compatible with the machine or the driver program is damaged, and the old available driver is used to replace the new driver file, mine is Kobo touch C n905C) 1. Manually restore to factory mode (restore to factory system) 2. Remove the internal storage card (TF card) from the device and insert it into the computer 3. Use a partitioning tool (such as diskgenius) to read all files in the "/drivers/[network card model]/wifi"(like"\drivers\ntx508\wifi") of the current system partition and copy them to the desktop 4. Download the firmware you want to update and update the machine to this firmware, then remove the internal storage card (TF card) and insert it into the computer 5. Use a partitioning tool (such as diskgenius) to copy the files saved before the desktop, paste them, and replace all files in the "/drivers/[network card model]/wifi" section of the current system partition 6. Ready to use upon startup |
