Suggestions during editing

I created a separate column for the genre (as a hierarchy). It's been working great for a while. Unfortunately, I reset something to the default settings, and now no suggestions are offered while typing in the field.
Example:
I want to assign a book to the genre "Novel." Previously, I only entered "Nov" in the Genre field, and the genre "Fiction & Entertainment.Novels" was immediately suggested. Now, nothing happens. Only when I enter "Fi" do all the genres in the Fiction category appear.

Does anyone have any idea how to get this working again?


Ich habe eine eigene Spalte mit dem Genre (als Hierarchie) angelegt. Klappt seit längerem wunderbar. Nun habe ich blöderweise irgendwas auf Standardeinstellungen zurückgesetzt und nun werden während der Eingabe in das Feld keine Vorschläge mehr gemacht.
Beispiel:
Ich möchte ein Buch dem Genre "Roman" zuordnen. Bisher gab ich im Feld Genre nur "Rom" ein und sofort wurde das Genre "Belletristik & Unterhaltung.Romane" vorgeschlagen. Nun kommt gar nichts mehr. Erst wenn ich "Be" eingebe, dann werden alle Genres vorgeschlagen, die eben in der Kategorie Belletristik sind.

Hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich das wieder hinbekomme?

I found it. But there is no option I could select. When I type in "complet" as shown in your screenshot, I apply, close Calibre and open it again, nothing changed.

Now I understand, how it works. But unfortunaltely no combination of true/false solves my problem. Of course I closed and reopened Calibre after every change.

What about "completion_mode" - its default appears to be 'prefix', try changing it to 'contains'.
