Emails sent to Instapaper not appearing on Kobo

After updating my GloHD recently, Instapaper is functioning well and I'm very happy to be able to read articles on the eink screen again.

However, I've noticed that anything emailed to Instapaper won't appear on the Kobo, though it will be there in the Instapaper app and web portal.

A post on Reddit seems to indicate that this is by design. I imported my Pocket content to Instapaper too, and anything emailed using Read Email Later to Pocket is missing from the Kobo (but shows without issue in the Instapaper app).

I really hope this gets fixed soon. In the meantime, it looks like we're back to using Dotepub or EPubPress to read (paid) Substack articles on a Kobo!

Has anyone else noticed this? What's your current workaround?

Didn't realize Instapaper could do that. Or Pocket, for that matter. I always added articles via my phone/tablet's 'Share' feature to the Instapaper app.

I do, too, for articles—but if you subscribe to a paid Substack or other email newsletter (or just want to read long emails you've received on an eink screen), emailing is the only way (that I'm aware of) to get the text into Instapaper (or Pocket).

Or ... come to think of it ... I could probably paste the email into Obsidian Publish, publish it, and save it to Instapaper the 'normal' way. I wonder if that would be faster than using Dotepub ...

Is anyone else using this as a workaround?
