Onyx Boox Go 6 + Moon Reader Plus, TTS working fine?

I’m considering getting the Onyx Boox Go 6 and would like to use it with Moon Reader Plus, like on my other devices.
Does anyone here have experience with this setup? In particular, I’d like to know if the TTS (text-to-speech) feature works smoothly without issues.

I love my Go6. I use a custom reader and don't use any Onyx apps. I've never even tried TTS. Sorry.

I'm kind of picky so I wrote my own, but it's really just the user interface.
The core of the EPUB rendering itself is "borrowed" from a licensed product so I can't really redistribute it.
I may try to port it to using something open source.

It's pretty simple, a chapter title, page count and progress stripe at the bottom.
All options are in a popup tabbed menu.

One of my favorite features is "Swap" which allows you to toggle between text and notes.
You don't need to go to the menu for that, my remote has a dedicated button.
So checking a note takes a fraction of a second.

I'm not sure I understand. Did you customise the reading programme on your Boox GO 6 yourself? And do the screenshots show the result of your changes? Because I find this feature very useful! Do you know if there are any alternative readers to the one in the Boox GO6? (I didn't even know there could be!)

Yes, there are any number of reader programs that you can install.
Because this is Android it's all very easy.
Even on pure Linux ereaders (like Kobo) many people use programs other than what it came with.

KOReader is one popular app.

My own reading app does not use anything from Onyx.
In fact I have most of the Onyx stuff disabled.
I run my own launcher (home screen).
