How to add line breaks to highlight notes?

For Calibre E-Book Viewer v8.9.0

I know how to highlight words and phrases and add notes in the popup window. However, I don't know how to make new lines (line breaks). Pressing enter, using HTML syntax, LF or CRLF control characters, or other related ideas do not work. So, does anyone know how I can make actual new lines inside the highlight window so that when closed and saved, it will have line breaks instead of continuous text?

Press Enter three times to create a blank line.
