I just want to put a word in the search box....
or a title and have Calibre highlight it in my library. I have the little box with the magnifying glass. I have "title" selected in preferences>search. I type in a word or title and get a "no more matches" when it hasn't found any to start with. This shouldn't be this hard. As it is, I have to reorganize by title and look myself because the search/find doesn't seem to find anything. What am I missing here?

Calibre has 2 forms of library search results.
1) is the Highlight 2)Display only resurts. This is controlled by the setting in Preferences: Searching: (second item) ![]() IMHO mode 2 is better if you just use a fragment of the full value (and have quite a few books that might satisfy the term ![]() ![]() If you do not specify what to search (eg authors:smith), calibre will look in every possible column. This limits where to look |
