6 hour battery life on Sage?

I bought a Sage to see if I will like it, still within return window. I like the device, screen looks very good, but I do not like battery life. I loaded KOReader, and read a few books, took around 6 hours to drain the battery from 100% to 10%, wifi/BT off, backlight 0 or 15% depending on conditions. Is it normal battery life, or it might get better? I had to charge the battery to turn the device on once I took it out of the box.

No, it's not normal. KOReader is known for excessively draining the battery of the Sage, however. I think there is a setting to fix that, but I don't know what it is, as I don't use KOReader. Someone who does might know.

According to the KOReader GitHub:

https://github.com/koreader/koreader/discussions/11306

You can fix this by enabling automatic standby under device settings.

I get about 20 hours on a Sage. Maybe a bit more. Native reader as KOReader is too clunky with 8000+ ebooks and I fix ebooks as I add them to Calibre. BT, Wifi & front light off.

The Clara B&W is almost 1/2 the area of screen:

That's about 26 to 27 hours.
