Boox Nota Air 4C Metadata

I have just bought this machine, mainly for reading ebooks with a larger screen (eyesights getting worse). I like it very much. I sideload my books with Calibre but cannot find any metadata on the Boox anywhere.

On my Kobo Libra Colour it was very easy to see. Am I being very thick and not realising that no metadata is transferred from Calibre to Boox? Probably.

However, if anyone can help me resolve this issue, or tell me what to do (apart from sending the machine back for a refund) I would be very grateful.

That you are having some sort of problem with Calibre is hardly justification for a refund.

I presume that you mean metadata for your books.
"metadata" by itself could mean anything, including the partitions vbmeta_a, vbmeta_b, vbmeta_system_a, vbmeta_system_b and metadata.

Since I don't use Calibre I can hardly say more.

My Apologies, Renate, you are right about Metadata for books. I have never used Android (I;ve only used iPads) and the learning curve is quite steep for me, especially as I get older.
I will pursue the fact that Calibre may be the problem though it does say that book metadata has been transferred when I sideload the books. I cannot see any button to show the metadata on the Note Air 4C. I am enjoying reading on it.

Thanks for the advice, I will try the calibre section and see what they can do. I am slightly surprised that no one else has had a problem - I presume they know how to use the Android system and Calibre better than I do.
