This has just started and I cannot seem to fix or troubleshoot it. When I am in the manage content/device area for the Kindle on Amazon and in the make a collection dialog it breaks. In the past I have made collections with two or three word titles. But now, let's say I want to make a collection named "Haruki Murakami" and what happens is when I name the new collection I get the same type-in dialog as always. So I type the first word. But then when I hit space the dialog closes but it does not save even the entered word. So it is not as if I hit return. Whenever I try to enter a space -- bingo, dialog closes. I have only been able to do this by going to notes and typing there. Then if I copy the resulting two words and the interior space I CAN simply paste into the dialog and close and save the rightly-named collection. My first thought was maybe the control or option keys were sticking. But they seemed ok. But before I would buy a new keyboard I went online and I checked the keyboard in three different online keyboard tests. When I hit space, all three tests show that I am indeed entering a space. I can hit control and other modifier keys over and over and no evidence of sticking. So I think buying a new keyboard would not help. Has anyone else seen this happen? Dunno how to proceed troubleshooting this!
Oh, I am using an iMac with the latest System and this happens the same way in Safari, Firefox and Chrome. |

I am using Windows 11 and I noticed the same thing. Unfortunately, the only way I could get it to work was to make a single word collection title and put the books I wanted in it. Then I went on my Colorsoft and edited the collection name. A ridiculous solution, but it worked.

Wow. I really did not expect to hear back from someone that they were having the same problem! Especially under a different and popular OS. I wonder if others are having this? I'll wait a couple days and see if anyone else chimes in as well. If this turns out to look like an endemic problem then I'll contact Amazon and see if they can include a fix in an update or somesuch. The workaround I am using is before I even go into Manage Collections I type into any text processor the title or titles I want to use in the session and then cut and paste. Anyone else have this?

I also had the same problem this morning. I did as OP, typed the name into a note and copied into the title field. Very odd.
