Simultaneously adding persistance and obliterating the boot splash screen to a live ISO image without having to build a live ISO image from scratch. Two birds with one stone.

Very little mention of this around the traps, ftr: I didn't have to pay for ESU, means I can defer buying a new laptop for another 12 months.
