Is it possible to use some other external dictionary on Koreader?

For instance, I've using DictTango (for Mdict dictionary files) for a while now and really like this app. But Koreader doesn't offer it as an External Dictionary option.

Another question I have, is it possible to edit the world selection context menu? It just have to many button I'll never ever need.

No scrolling, no sepia mode?

Additional external dictionaries are not user-addable, but they are trivial to add in the code. I submitted a request on the Github repository for you.

Please look into user patches. This one for a custom word selection menu for example:
https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/13024

Or this one for a custom sepia background image (only for reflowable documents):
https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/12420

(Note that user patches don't work on the F-Droid version.)

Not sure what you mean by no scrolling mode? Continuous mode is scrolling, it's just a little different UX than what you're used to from other Android apps.

They can be added by users: https://github.com/koreader/koreader...ictionary-list

But we're ok with them submitted upstream if they're FOSS or widely used.

Checking each one in the list has a runtime penalty of 1ms, so we're not in the mood for including every single app that's available on the playstore.
