(KUAL related) Need help with first jailbreak on Kindle Paperwhite 11th gen

Hello everyone, I was very excited to go ahead and jailbreak my kindle however I ran into some issues along the way and I'm hoping to get some help from you guys.

Everything was going well I had gotten all the way through to installing KoReader on the Kindle Modding Wiki, I was feeling confident however since my firmware is 5.18 I tried the alternative method for installing KoReader by using the scriplet. This proceeded to not work so I thought I'd try the tried and true way which was going well until my KUAL app wasnt launching it was giving me error codes saying the app was not launching or something to that effect. In all my wisdom I thought no worries let me uninstall Kual and re install it. And this is arguably where things went from bad to worse. I have tried several attempts to reinstall KUAL to no avail ive tried re downloading the KUAL Bin and putting it in the mrpackages folder and re running ;log mrpi. I have also tried copying it to the root main drive but also no luck, when I search ;log mrpi it just shows me the store as if I typed something it cant find. I guess it is worthy to note that when I was trying to reinstall the store I could not find the .active_content_sandbox file even after looking in hidden folders so I just went ahead and went through with the process, luckily it worked and I still have my kindle store at this time. I'm afraid and unsure with how to proceed, my gut is telling me to reset the device but I know since I have OTA updates disabled that might brick the kindle so I'm looking forward to hearing from this community

if you are on 5.18.1 you CANNOT jailbreak with winter break or any other jailbreak for that matter. at least not for now...

Ah, that is unfortunate.. if it becomes jailbreakable with this software version can I proceed with installing Kual then? Or could I downgrade software now that it has hotfix and all the other jailbroken software and seems to be working?

If you type ;log in the search box and it gives a result (No arg passed. Select from mrpi or runms), the jailbreak has survived and you should be able to re-install the hotfix etc.
