Calibre under Termux

I have been using Calibre in Android under Termux running in a proot Debian distro for a while. It works pretty good and it is a good choice for people not having a computer.

But there are issues when renaming documents title and authors, paths are mangled with l2s files. Is there a place to report for this to be taken into account oficially in Calibre? It has to do with the way Termux manages the filesystem. Instead of a move the file maybe a copy and then deleted or something like that.

Would it be this feasible?

Not really, if for some reason termux doesnt support POSIX filesystem semantics its not really feasible to get calibre working with it without major surgery.

It's also possible to install via https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.termux.nix/ if you're comfortable with using calibre-cli.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will play with it, I read about NixOS but I feel comfortable with Gentoo and never tried it.

I ended up crosscomping Calibre after changing the line which is making Termux fail. It is just a symlink when renaming the title. It is not big deal but I spend some periods of time without the computer and I find valuable having Calibre handy.
