[Update eBook > Kobo]

Hello,

I've got a huge Calibre library. More than 500 ebooks. I notices that some oh those books a more than 5 Mb. So, according some posts of this forum, I tried to convert one ePub to ePub format. So, it decreases to 400 kb. I copied it to my Kobo, answered OK because it was already present. But... but... the book has been duplicated ! One is 5 Mb, the other one is 400 Kb...
Is this possible to do this action and keep the previous metadata ?

Huge is more than 50,000.
500 is tiny.
Most 32 G ereaders can manage more than 15,000 ebooks.

You can import an ebook (and reading stats via Kobo utilities), save annotations, delete the ebook on Kobo, convert that ebook, (the original is renamed), send new version and then reconnect a 2nd time when Kobo has imported it, and restore reading position, which might not work due to content changing. You can't write back the annotations, but you can save them.
