Need help convert BooX p6 to palma2

Hi guys. I just got an used Boox P6 (picture attached) from a friends for a bout 100 bucks. It's quite cheap compared to Palma2 which is 280$.
It's the same hardware as the palma2 (snap 750G, android13), just doesn't come with a back camera (not a big deal for me). I want to covert it to palma2 for multilang and built in play store

1. I have tried downloading the Palma2 latest update, decryted it, and using "adb reboot recovery" -> Apply update from ADB -> adb sideload update.zip but it says "Installing package. E: Package is for product palma2 but expected P6. Install from ADB completed with status 1. Installation aborted"
Maybe in the update.zip of Palma2 have some kind of info. Anyone know how to modify the package so it works with P6? Or some kind of recovery for palma2 that i can try? TIA

I guess I got a good deal My fr got it for 180$ but he does not use it much, so he let it go

Ok. In the meantime is there anything I can do? Like adb, edl?
I try to enter edl by palma 2 loader, it works

Decrypt it to update.upx and stick it on a flash drive.

Flash the recovery

# start autoupdate

Please give a clear report of how the text looks on the screen.
Is is clear? Is it upright? Or does it look like a sleet storm?

If everything is good, stick in the flash drive and cross your fingers.

If it runs 100% happy and reboots to international, all good.
If not, pull autolog.txt off your flash drive and post it.

I flashed the recovery. After that

Device reboots, stuck on Boox Logo

I guess its screen just stuck so I try inserting a flash drive to see if it works. Wait for like 20 mins, but nothing happens so I pull the Drive out
Here is the autolog from the drive

The device still stuck at Boox loading screen (image attached). I hold power button for like 15 20 second, it reboots but screen the same. I got adb, like it still functions but screen just frozen. I can re enter recovery, edl etc

Thanks. The good news is that most of the stuff is working.
(Which is kind of amazing by itself.)
We may not be able to get any display.
That's really hard to do from a distance when I don't own any BSR devices.
At least ADB is working rooted.

Please double check:

adb reboot recovery
adb shell
# getenforce
-- should say "permissive" --
# reboot

Did you decrypt update.upx with DeBooxUpx using "Palma2"?
Check your file:

Yeah it says permissive. after rebooting everything is back to normal, no frozen screen anymore

yes i decrypted the upx file using debooxupx. My update.zip file's md5 the same with you

Something strange. The update.zip on my pc matchs your's md5, but the one on the usb stick is somehow different. I formats the drive and copy the file again, check the md5 matches.I try the recovery again. Update fails, but the autolog is different

Ok, grab a new recovery from the same place. Flash it.

adb reboot recovery
adb shell
# start autoupdate

Plug the flash in, keep your eye on the blinky LED on the flash (it has one?)
There could be as much as 5 minutes of non-blinking.
If it reboots by itself things are probably good.
If it doesn't reboot, reattach PC cable.

adb reboot
