Getting FW 5.16.4 improved web browser on PW3?

As you know the PW3 stopped receiving firmware updates, with the last one being 5.16.2.1.1, so it never got the 5.16.4 which came with a much improved experimental web browser.

The PW3 has the same CPU and amount of RAM as the KT4 and PW4 which got the update, so I'm guessing technically speaking the only thing preventing the PW3 from getting the update was amazon intentionally deprecating it, but please correct me if I'm wrong, that's why I'm making this thread.

I'm wondering if with a jailbroken PW3 it's possible force a manual update of an unsupported firmware version such as 5.16.4.

People that had similar ideas ended up bricking their Kindle in the process

@Marek (author of LanguageBreak jailbreak) bricked a PW4 trying to "retrofit" that Chromium browser.

And I think I read somewhere that 5.15.1?? firmware update has removed the diagnostics from PW3? So if that's true that would make unbricking PW3 without opening it and soldering wires to serial connection pads no longer possible?
