Amazon ebook "gift" to another fails
It was working the day before yesterday.

But now attempting to redeem "prepaid"/"gifted" ebooks fails, by either method. Same two accounts as two days ago.

After "Sign-in & accept" the ebook page comes up with "Send Free Sample" instead of "Accept".

The sender account shows it as "not redeemed".

Also the regular "gift" email cards seem gone, though there is still a printable one? But how do I know it will work for the recipient to buy Kindle ebooks (same country & marketplace).

My DD bought me a few books this morning, I redeemed them and the ebooks are not available in my digital content, nor can I see them in my Kindle for PC app, or android phone app. On her end she sees them as not redeemed. We have no solutions.

She can get a refund. Reason: Redemption Issues. Automatic, just click on the Order.

I'm wary of the gift tokens too now, because the ones I used before are gone and what assurance is there that the printable one can be used for ebooks (as was the case previously)? The gift scheme has always had traps, because you have to buy the gift voucher on the market place where it is to be spent, no matter location of sender and recipent.

Amazon claims to be most customer focused on the planet. I can't see it.

I spoke with Amazon, they know there is a technical issue with gifted ebooks. They said they were working on it. I'll give them a few more days.
