Column widths keep changing

Every time I switch libraries and then switch back, the column widths get messed up. Is there a way to lock columns when switching between libraries?

Many of us use the View Manager plugin for this.

↑ ↑ ↑ ✔ (IMO: essential if you have multiple libraries - e.g. Books and Periodicals)

View Manager is per library, so you can have different columns for different libraries, and/or same column with different widths, and also it saves/restores sort columns.

There's also the Column header context menu action Restore default layout - not entirely sure what it does, but it may suit you.

Which version of calibre are you using? There was an issue at one point were the columns did change size and the View Manager plugin kept the columns at a fixed width. I stopped using View Manager once the shifting column widths was sorted.

Thank you all. View Manager does the trick nicely. I like that I can have multiple views to switch between.
