which plugin lets me add metadata columns to kobo stories as a sub heading?

Hi!
I didnt have access to my pc for a few months, so when I updated calibre to v8 a lot of plugins updated too. Some disappeared, presumably because they were made redundant by the update (I know it was kobo heavy).

Before I took my involuntary break, I had just set up calibre so that some metadata (word count, collection, whether the story was completed or not) showed on my kobo beneath the title of each story. I've attached a picture of what I mean. I primarily read fanfic using fanficfare so this data being easily visible was super helpful.

Since my mass update, thats stopped happening. I remember I had to do code using the calibre template language but I cant find the setting to do it anywhere. I think it might have been through the Kobo Touch Extender plugin which is gone now, but I'm not sure.

Is there another plugin that has taken over this feature? Or is it just gone for now? If so, could someone with the knowhow add it back in?

Thanks!

It's the subtitle field in the Kobo driver settings.

The easiest way to access the driver is to install the Kobo Utilities plugin, right-click on it and select Driver -> Configure the driver.

Installing Kobo Utilities just to be able to use the driver configuration menu item isn't a good idea. If you already have Kobo Utilities installed for other things, then using the menu item to configure the driver is OK.

You can also get to the KoboTouch driver by going to Preferences > Plugins and search for KoboTouch and then configure it

Interesting. A two mouse click method of getting to the KoboTouch driver configuration dialogue is not as good as multiple mouse clicks and typing a search string?

I'm not saying that. But it's more mouse clicks to install Kobo Utilities just to configure the driver. It's only if Kobo Utilities is installed or will be instilled for other uses is it a good idea to use the KU menu.

Hmmm... four mouse clicks years back. Hardly a burden. IMNSHO, the Kobo Utilities plugin is a must have for anyone using a Kobo ereader.

I installed Kobo Utilities to access the driver and didn't use the plugin itself at all for a couple of years. Only later I saw how useful it really was.

I agree 100% Kobo Utilities is something everyone with a Kobo should use with calibre.

I'm not 100% sure, but I may have installed KU originally to backup the Kobo database.

I use it to:
save and restore reading position/status between Kobo ereaders.
Backup & check database
Copy annotations of a selected book (via window, clipboard, external text editor
Sometimes other things.

When I first install KU, there was no saving of the reading positions.
