Calibre reader issue

I think this is the correct thread to post under. It's an issue related to the calibre reader, which is a tool. If this isn't I apologize. And if I should move to a different thread I will.

So when using the reader I notice I can't scroll, which is fine since it seems that's part of the reader design. However, there's one thing that really bothers me, and I'm not sure if it's a bug or something fixable. When the reader is reading and it gets to the bottom portion of the text, if the text is half visable it still reads it, however I can't. When the reader is done with that part it'll scroll down. And if it's with a book that already has audio with it, the line will continue being read for a line or two then it'll scroll down.

Is there a setting somewhere I can change, so when the reader gets to half a word or just out of view the page will scroll?

Calibre calls its reader: Viewer. I move this thread.

Are you in Paged or Scroll Mode? (scroll icon in the toolbar)

Scroll mode. Now that you suggested it I suppose paged mode would work better, especially since I can't scroll anyway. That was helpful, I'll try that.

Editing this comment so I won't flood with new comments. But that worked! Thank you so much. Sometimes obvious solutions require another perspective

Scroll. I'm not seeing my previous message here so I'm assuming it wasn't saved. But I hadn't thought about that till you pointed it out. Thank you so much for your help. It sounds so obvious now but at the time it eluded me.

One more thing while your here. So I notice on other books, when I'm using the piper reader tool, whenever I slow down or speed up with the icons, it pauses and skips to a random text ahead. Instead of adjusting the speed. Do you happen to know about that?

Actually, nevermind on that. Pausing the reader doesn't skip text so I'm good on that issue. Thank you again for your help
