Can I search for books in Calibre based in date AND time they were added?

Can I search in Calibre for books based on date and time they were added into database?

To search a book that was added before or on, say 2018, january, 8th I would search for
date:<=2018-01-08
To search for a book that was added in two days, 7th and 8th I would search for
date:<=2018-01-08 and date:>=2018-01-07

What if I want to search for books that were added on 2018, january the 8th between 20:00 and 21:59? Is there syntax for that?

I want to add several groups of books and I want to create virtual libraries based on when the books were added, I do not want to add tags to a large number of books. I do not want to wait till another day before I add another group of books to be able to create a new virtual library.

Thereisnt any support for time based searching only date. I recommend adding a tag which I know you said you dont want to do, but can be done automatically, via: Preferences->Adding books->Adding actions
change the tag for each batch and make your VL based on the tag.

Thank you for the explanation. I will use the automated tag adding. It shouldn't strain the system because when adding books I have to create tags for it as well, so I might as well add a custom tag to group the books.
