Something of a Milestone issue, so I have some famous authors. One story of note is "The Strange Case of Benjamin Button", filmed with Brad Pitt, from a short story written, unexpectedly, by F Scott Fitzgerald.

All in the Life+70 years public domain; and as I rechecked I found a story which already appeared in an earlier issue. C'est la vie!

1: Adventure of the Cleopatra Necklace / George Barton
2: The Satyr / Barry Pain
3: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button / F. Scott Fitzgerald
4: The Bottomless Well / G. K. Chesterton
5: The Vanishing Trick / Max Afford
6: A Question of Identity / Sapper
7: An Adventure of St. Valentine's Night / Melville Davisson Post
8: The Strange Affair of the Florentine Chest / Percy J. Brebner
9: Running Wolf / Algernon Blackwood
10: Over The Edge of the World / Flora Annie Steel
11: Balloons and Sausages / Ernest O'Ferrall
12: The Funeral March / Stacy Aumonier
13: Skulls in the Stars / Robert E. Howard
14: Trust / Jack London
15: Buttercups And Daisies / E. Phillips Oppenheim
16: An Out-Islander Comes In / Stella Benson
17: The Biting of the Biter / Barry Pain
18: The Mendax Gold Saver / Erle Cox
19: The Mystery on Daffodil Terrace / Percy Fitzgerald
20: The Forest of Lost Men / Beatrice Grimshaw

Hi Terry,

On the occasion of this milestone issue:
Here's to you and your many fine e-book publications on Mobileread!

A recent comment of yours gave an idea of the amount of work that is often necessary to produce these fine collections, and it is very much appreciated:
Quote:
[With] scans from online newspapers; automatic OCR has trouble with tiny 19th century newspaper type on tatty old newsprint quality paper, where it can take half a day to unscramble one short story.
Are you planning to continue this great series?

Thank you so much, you rock - and

I have made an index to the 200 issues, in alphabetical order by author. The Index also contains the contents of 71 single-author collections made at the same time period, some having as many as 100 stories in each volume (eg Mark Hellinger). This is only in Adobe pdf format and is fully searchable. You'll find it in the "other formats" library. All 200 Past Masters are in kindle, epub and pdf, and I hope to complete converting the collections to pdf soon. Weather forecast for today is maximum 41 c, so a good time to stay indoors and tackle it!

And many thanks for your kind words. Number 201 will appear soonish.

Great to hear you are going to keep them coming!
And thanks a lot for the index file.

BTW, I happened to stumble upon a small glitch when searching the index for stories by Ambrose Bierce: The first listing of Ambrose Bierce is erroneously placed between Francis Beeding and E.B. Bell and contains just one story, while the second and correct alphabetical listing of Ambrose Bierce has the other Bierce stories except this single one in the wrong place.

Thanks again!
