how do Kaleido 3 / Carta1200 work?

may I pose a dummy question about the screen of Tab Ultra C Pro, Note Air 4 C etc.:
they have different resolution for B/W and Color.
If a page contains B/W text and a color image, are the the B/W parts and the color parts displayed in their respective resolution, or is the whole page displayed in the lower resolution of the color parts?

The Kaleido colour filter sits on top of the screen, so it's always there. BW content is technically full resolution, but since the Kaleido filter is in the way, it will look grainier than it would on a non-Kaleido device. Colour content is lower resolution, because the Kaleido filter is an RGB matrix, so in order to simulate various colours, e.g. R+B = purple, it takes multiple pixels' worth of screen real estate.
