Verse Pro and Verse Pro Color on sale at Amazon (US)

I noticed the Verse Pro and Verse Pro Color are on sale at amazon today. Both are priced at $149.00.

I got the Verse Pro Color a little over a month ago (guess I should have waited). I like it more than my Nook GL3 despite the darker screen without front light. With the front light enabled the screen is really good but it does have a negative impact on battery life.

I actually prefer the screen texture that the color layer adds. The font rendering is a lot crisper than my GL3. I also really like seeing my book covers in color. I do wish the sleep mode would have an option to be able to show the book cover. I know there is a program that someone wrote that somewhat enables this but it only shows the cover in B&W and is not very seamless to use.

On the Verse Pro Color to show the cover in sleep mode go to Settings>Personalize>Logos>Power-off Logo. Set to book cover.

I have that set. It's for the power off screen not the sleep screen. Pocketbook is pretty fast turning on from the powered off state but it still takes ~15sec compared to 3sec from sleep.
