Howdy

I'm from Texas. I can already see that this forum has great information and people.

I have one horse (Tennessee Walker), 3 cats (their heritage is questionable) and 3 dogs (Yellow Lab, Flat Coated Retriever and poodle mix).

I have an iPhone and listen to books on tape that I download from my library. I do want an e-reader but don't know which one would suite me best.

Look forward to chatting with everyone.

Hi DonnaIam and welcome to the Forum. If you're unsure which eBook reader you want, you've come to the right place for friendly advice. I have a Sony 505 which I like a lot.

Hello DonnaIAm and welcome to MobileRead. Ralph Sir Edward is busy planning a get-together for the Texas folks to be held in/near Dallas sometime in early April. Read about it here --> https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35450 <-- and follow the thread as details unfold.

One good thing about attending a meet-up is that you'll get to see lots of different devices. There'll be Sonys, Kindles, Cybooks, Blackberries, PDAs, and probably more. One bad thing is that if you want this kind of in-person input before you buy, you've got to wait until April.

So read up! Ask questions! Join the discussions on what people like about (or don't like about) the readers they've purchased. We've no lack of opinions!
