Hello

Hey everyone,
I just stumbled across this site, while researching eink readers, really liked the matrix. Still up in the air as to what I am going to get, or even if I am going to get a dedicated reader since I have enough gadgets already including an eeepc, and iphone as possible readers. The key factors for me include supporting open SDK's, open projects, search and note taking.

Whatever $READER I do end up getting will be the first step in a bigger project to replace the 1000+ paper books I have down to a more manageable ~100, while still retaining the media in a new format.

Well I will be going back into lurking mode and will post any questions I can't find answers to by searching first.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott and welcome to the Forum. I've read a few books on my iPhone but much prefer the Sony. eInk makes all the difference.

Welcome Scott. As Cassidym indicated, PDAs, iphones, & EEEPCs just don't compare to eink for reading. If you read a lot, go for the eink. You won't regret it.
