				PocketBook Inkpad Color 3 is misdetected

			The USB matching in calibre appears to be mis-identifying this PocketBook model as a Bookeen Diva. I'll attach the whole of the debug info from my Mac, but it begins: Code: USB devices on system:
[['0x1d6b', '0x104', '0x100', 'Obreey', 'PB743K3', '20080411']]
No disabled plugins
Looking for devices of type: MTP_DEVICE
No MTP devices connected to system

Looking for devices of type: SMART_DEVICE_APP
All IP addresses {'lo0': [{'addr': '127.0.0.1', 'netmask': '255.0.0.0', 'peer': '127.0.0.1'}], 'en0': [{'addr': '10.0.1.15', 'netmask': '255.255.255.0', 'broadcast': '10.0.1.255'}]}
No device is connected

Looking for devices...

		Detected possible device DIVA

Devices possibly connected: Bookeen Diva HD Device Interface,
Trying to open Bookeen Diva HD Device Interface ...I can't tell if this misidentification is a problem or not, or which device I should choose in the setup wizard. Nothing marked "PocketBook" seems to match, FWIW. |

			And there probably will be more devices like that, as vendor 0x1d6b & product id 0x0104 is 'Linux Foundation, Multifunction Composite Gadget'. Rather generic... |

			Yes these companies really should apply for their own usb vendor id.

  , So why don't we just use the free generic" That works when we plug it in. Wait till you come across Made Up UPC codes. I used to install Grocery POS and supplied the first day on site support. "These items keep being Not Found even after I re-entered them". Turns out, the vendor in China made up the code and it started with a 2. 2 is a special group (Random Weight): The first 5 is for the item (Eg Cheder cheese) and the last 5 is set to be either the weight or the dollars. All sorts of insanity happens when they cheat to save money (It is even worse when they cheated with a valid code from another product and the Weights and Measures fines them for WRONG SCANNER PRICING (or they are 'giving away, an expensive item because a cheap price came up). | |

			I know, PB really should not be abusing those generic vendor id/device ids. How expensive could it really be to get a real vendor id? But in this case since there's a real looking and unique "product" code appearing ("PB743K3") in the ioreg output, would it make sense to try and disambiguate the devices using this field? |

			Indeed, as you said in your initial reply (thanks BTW) there's no functional problem with Calibre using the "wrong" device in this case. The only improvement would be to stop Calibre reporting some completely incorrect name in the status bar (ie "Diva HD")
