Kindle Error Message

To give some background, I recently bought a New Kindle Signature and joined Kindle Unlimited in Amazon. Both were working fine foe several months, until now I have trouble when opening any of the 20 books book in the Kindle. I get this error message:
"An error occurred. If you purchased this item from Amazon, delete the item and download it from the Cloud." It comes up with any book that I was reading. I also have the Kindle Reader App installed on my Desktop, and I can read any of the books using it without any problem? I believe reading online in the App is viewing books from the Kindle Cloud?
I am not deleting any books until I learn more about why the error comes up when opening the book in the Kindle. I have tried to post my problem in the Amazon Kindle Forum without any solution, so I am reaching out to you. I appreciate help from anyone,, jamesemu

In that I never got one reply, maybe I should re-phrase my question.
Has anyone ever gotten this Error Message, when opening a book loaded on their Kindle?
"An error occurred. If you purchased this item from Amazon, delete the item and download it from the Cloud."
I really appreciate knowing I am not the only one. Also I hope that someone can help me? Respectfully, jamesemu

I got it on a very few books 2 or 3 years ago. They were books purchased from amazon and redownloading them did no good. I had read a good chunk of one of the books before it firrst happened. I could sometimes reopen the book and read a few more pages before it happened again. I figured there was something wrong with the book and quit trying to read it because it just kept happening.

If those books are not from kindle unlimited try the download and transfer from USB. It may not be downloading properly to kindle. Might be downloading 50% of it

If all 20 books are from KU, try deleting a couple and see if that helps. Since 20 is the KU limit maybe something got scrambled.

Thank you all for the replies and suggestions. I will try to answer the questions here.
I got all of the 20 books from KU. I will try deleting some, then try to open one,to see if I get the same error message.
Thanks JPS, at least now I know of one other that got this error.
To answer Flaviocc, my Kindle is set for English.
In summary, I haven't given up. I even tried to get into Amazon Chat, but they are almost useless.
