Underscores matching anything???!!!
Hello, everybuddy!
I sometimes create tags that look like _MASTER or _WHATEVER, so that then I can easily search for all the books with that tag by searching for "_MA" or "_MASTER". In my last version (5.44) this worked like a charm. I've just updated to 6.22 and now "_MASTER" will also match a book called "Masters of Doom" (which doesn't have the _MASTER tag nor an underscore anywhere. And "_WHAT" will also match any book with "what" in the title. How can I change this? Thanks in advance: Wences |

See the calibre manual The search interface, and in particular the difference between "‘Contains’ searches" and "‘Character variant’ searches"

Yes, that did it. It seems that the underscore "_" is considered a punctuation mark.
It's a shame that ignoring diacritics and ignoring punctuation are grouped together... But I can live with that. Thanks, Chaley! |
