Can't convert large epub files to kfx!

When I work with small files of less than 1 mb, I am able to convert to kfx. However, when I work with large epub files of about 170 mb, I seems to stuck at 67% and cannot convert.

Any way to solve this problem?

If you want KFX and you use Linux, it's a good time to go to Windows.

2. Anyway the KFX plugin works with Wine in Linux so don't start the OS war;
3. For the OP: may be the plugin's author could help You but I imagine He will need more information (a copy, eventually scrambled, of the file, something about Your PC ecc);

My point is that neither Calibre nor the KFX plugin convert to KFX. It's using an Amazon program for Windows.

See if azw3 which DOES use Calibre works.

And for many people, no Amazon program works on WINE and the performance and reliability of Amazon Windows software is poor compared to Calibre, even if you are using MS Windows!

This is not about Linux vs Windows. It's about real Calibre conversion vs KFX which is only using Calibre & the KFX output PI to remote control an amazon program.

You can export/save the epub to disc and run the Amazon program that really does the conversion, directly.

No, the PI is just a shell. The first thing to do is use the epub file directly with the Amazon program. If that works, it's a bug in the PI, if it doesn't work, complain to Amazon.

But the simplest solution is to avoid KFX and use AZW which gives closer to the same appearance as a source Word doc used to make an epub, or the epub on an epub based ereader. The real reason for KFX isn't the Scribe or Enhanced Typesetting but stronger DRM on Amazon sales and loans.


Also I actually have three different Kindle models and have compared KFX and azw3 on the Paperwhite3, both created locally and from Amazon.
