PRS-500 Mobipocket(book) format on PRS505?

Hi all, just found this site as I was brought a prs505

Love the machine, however what i really wanted was a bookeen as it can read the mobibook format and mobipocket has a mind blowing number of books at reasonable prices (compared to the extortionate amount Waterstones wants!).

I have already emailed Sony asking for support to be added, but one voice I doubt would be enough (heck with Sony I doubt the whole world will be enough but anyway), so I was hoping others may feel the same as me and would be willing to tap and email to sony with the same views

If not does anyone know a way of converting Mobibook to Sony's format (I doubt it as the purchased Mobi's are DRMd

)

Cast your doubt aside. If you aren't adverse to removing the DRM search on the forum for discussions on mobidedrm and calibre.

While the Sony won't (with 99%+ certainty) support Mobipocket (and AIUI, that's not necessarily down to Sony), there are many other sources for books for the Sony other than Waterstones!

Check the wiki and the forums, as there's a lot of relevant info around.
