offline Wikipedia on DR1000? Is it possible?

Hi!

Is it possible to have a offline version of the wikipedia on the DR1000?

Something like this that pdas have in a 3gb version with images, etc etc on TR3 format, can be converted or similar to this device?

I see that iliad have this, but I dont know if it works, and I see that is a 54mb version so i think that maybe is outdated and without images.

hey all, anyone have any new ideas about a downloadable version of wikipedia that we could slap onto the DR?

The iLiad version relied on a web browser application on the device (Dillo, Midori, or iRex's HTML viewer). So far as I know, there isn't one on the DR yet. When one is available, a similar approach will probably work.

my DR1000S reads html just fine, but treats it as a text document without links/linked pictures. this of course, defeats the main purpose of wikipedia (see xkcd.com/214), but you can read it. I haven't tried the pyoff version myself, but I can see it being very handy. please let us know if anyone has had success with this on the DR1000
