Identifiers
Would like to know how to make the identifier for asin be capitalized?
If I send to kindle a book with ASIN:XXXX instead of asin:XXXX it will up able to be updated on Goodreads through my Kindle. Everytime I try and change asin to ASIN it reverts. |

identifier types are not stored as strings in kindle file formats so I dont see how the case of asin could make any difference.

I was hoping that I could do this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/kindle/comm...mment/cxltoja/ Basically, side-loaded or sent to kindle books that have the ASIN identifier will be able to be updated on Goodreads via the Kindle. Goodreads has been weird lately not showing the dates on books that are manually entered on the website instead of via Kindle. The dates show on the website, but the Goodreads Sync plugin and the Library export .csv files from Goodreads don't show the manually entered read dates. |

FWIW, I remember once having issues with covers not being displayed on my PW3 after conversion to KFX. If I recall correctly, this "Fix ASIN" tool was the decisive factor in getting the covers to be displayed again. However, I remember there were more necessary steps... Again IIRC, I think I'd remove all mobi-asin:x identifiers and would leave only amazon:x or goodreads:x. Then I'd check a custom column called KFX-ready, and after making these adjustments to the identifiers of a bunch of books, only then I would do the KFX conversion and send them afterwards to the Kindle all at once.
I know this is a different issue, related to Goodreads, but anyway... |
