Best way to "smarten" odd ellipsis pattern to U+2026?
I have a book that has ellipses in pattern of repeating no-break space (U+00a0) and a regular period:
i.e., as " . . . " Smarten Punctuation in Calibre doesn't catch it -- what's the best way to turn it into a U+2026 (horizontal ellipsis) using Calibre? Thanks for any suggestions! |

Some people argue that periods and partial size no-break spaces are superior.
But a global search for . . . replace with … in an ebook will work. You might also want to replace ... (or more .) and regular spaced version also partial sized spaces as well as the no-break space. I just type in “ ” ‘ ’ … — – ′ and ″ as only < and > need to be HTML entities in UTF8 ebooks. Similarly è é etc sometimes have HTML entities, but the direct characters work. |

I found something that works for me. I was able to Regex search in the Calibre for:
\u00A0[.] |
