Force restarting the Kindle disables passcode and gives access to device
Not sure if this is just me. If I hold down the power button on my PW5 until it reboots (just by holding down the button for like 20 seconds, not using the system dialog that comes up asking what you want to do), upon reboot, my passcode is disabled. So anyone with a few minutes of access to my Kindle can get full access to its system with ease.
Does this happen with your Kindle as well? I'm on firmware 5.14.2. Last edited by mbrisco; 12-14-2022 at 12:16 AM. |
