Refresh rate in typing with keyboard
Maybe everybody knows, but yesterday I discovered that setting "refresh and animation filter" to zero, helps some text editor to handle a quite good refresh rate in text typing even in normal mode.

that's interesting, I wonder why that setting you found is not the default out of the box
